FOT Past and Upcoming Events

Friends of Tanzania sponsors several social and cultural events each year, giving members and guests a chance to catch up on news of Tanzania, reminisce with friends, or practice some Kiswahili. Please join us for any of the following events which generally take place in the Washington, DC area. All members and prospective members are welcome--send an e-mail to request specific dates, times, and directions.

2007

FOT held its 4th annual Samosa, Chakula, and Friendship party on Friday, May 18, at Safari Club in Washington, DC.

FOT Winter Party, February 24th, brought out 40 friends and Embassy Representatives who exchanged lots of information. Many thanks to Patricia Kelley and Craig Hafner our faithful hosts who have since moved to Colorado.

2006

FOT celebrated its 15th Anniversary on Saturday, September 16, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Arlington.

FOT held its annual Samosa, Chakula, and Friendship Party on May 17 at Safari Club in Washington, DC.

FOT Potluck Winter Party was held Saturday, February 25 at the home of Craig Hafner and Patricia Kelley in Arlington, Virginia.

FOT Winter Social Party held February 26 at the home of Patricia Kelly and Craig Hafner in Arlington, Virginia with Tanzanian Ambassador Andrew Daraja in attendence.
