- Marafiki wa Tanzania officially began at our formation meeting during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Peace Corps in Washington, DC. A committee presented the proposed structure for the organization, outlined a proposal for funding our first project, and identified people interested in serving on committees. The 50 participants (mainly RPCVs) were enthusiastic about FOT. The meeting was followed by a party at a local restaurant.
