Susan H. Rabideau, P.E.

Susan was born and raised in Warren, Rhode Island. She received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1981 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. She holds a Professional Engineering license in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Susan's early career included positions as a surveyor in Yellowstone National Park and as a structural engineer for Badger Corporation in Boston. In 1984 she joined the United States Peace Corps and served as a housing construction and drafting teacher at a technical high school in Moshi, Tanzania. She also advised senior project groups and organized a student drama club. She climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
Upon resuming her career in the US, she has worked primarily in the water supply field. She held various positions, including Water Division Engineer in Taunton, Massachusetts from 1988-1994. While raising her children, she provided water treatment consulting services to small water systems. She returned to fulltime employment in 2002 as a Principal Sanitary Engineer at the Rhode Island Department of Health Office of Drinking Water Quality. She is currently the Engineering Project Manager at Bristol County Water Authority in Warren, RI where she plans, designs and oversees construction for upgrades to the water distribution system.
Susan is married, with three adult children and enjoys boating, hiking and travel. She is a member of the Capitol Projects Commission in Bristol, RI and is an active in her church parish. Susan joined the FOT Board in 2014 and currently serves as the chair of the Projects Committee.
